Hello, thank you for your email. Although this was a personal email, I thought of showing it to everybody all the effects and the danger of Asbestos to our body for everyone to be aware of. This is very vital information that everybody should know.

Asbestos is a mineral made up of tiny fibers. Many have used Asbestos to strengthen their homes to provide heat insulation and fire resistance. It is usually placed on insulation, flooring and electrical systems. Although it has done wonders in making our home safe, it also is a health hazard with thousands of asbestos-related death every year.

The inhalation of Asbestos fibers can cause serious diseases of the lungs and organs. This is what we called the silent killer disease since it cannot be detected. From the time you are exposed to the asbestos to the manifestation of the disease is usually between 25 to 40 years. So you don’t know if you are already infected, until it’s too late. Worst is that it cannot be detected on your initial exposure by medical x-rays or symptoms.

Usually there are two common sicknesses Asbestos can do to your health, one is mesothelioma and the other is asbestosis.

Mesothelioma is a cancer of the lining of the chest and the abdominal cavity while Asbestosis is a condition wherein your lungs would be scarred from the fibrous tissue.

So how can we get rid of Asbestos?
